Backstory

This young dhampir was conceived within the walls of Landel’s itself, a result of the ironically new found freedom between prisoners Integral Hellsing and her vampire servant Alucard.

Together, the two nearly succeeded in escaping not long after his conception, but were separated in the final moments with the vampire being recaptured as Integra chose to go on alone for the sake of the unborn child.

Whatever was endured during her months long journey outside the confines of Landel’s is currently known only to she and Alucard, but eventually the young woman was blessed enough to find refuge in an isolated convent deep within the German countryside. This is where the dhampir was finally birthed and raised, living safely alongside his mother for several years before their sudden capture and return to Landel’s only recently.

The name Demitri was chosen by Integra. As the prefix ‘demi’ symbolizes half, and that is what the child is. Neither human nor vampire, but a combination of both she and the Count himself. Though only time will tell how much -both good and bad- the boy has really inherited from their two legendary bloodlines.
